Macadamia oil is a vegetable oil made from matured macadamia nuts from the macadamia tree.

The oil protects and nourishes the skin. Rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, macadamia oil is easily absorbed by the skin and provides intense hydration.

Macadamia oil has been used for centuries to treat scars, sunburn and other skin irritations. The slightly exotic scent blends with woody essential oils such as cedarwood.

Macadamia oil also contains a high amount of omega-6 linoleic acid which helps to balance your skin's sebum production. The oil is suitable for all skin types.

Application

You can use macadamia oil:

To soften and calm the skin (e.g. for sunburn or other irritations):

• 20 ml Aloe vera juice
• 5 ml Macadamia oil
• 3 drops lavender essential oil

Mix well and apply sparingly to your skin.

As moisturizing hair mask:

Mix macadamia oil, sweet almond oil and coconut oil in 3 equal parts in a bottle.

To give the hair mask a pleasant scent you can add a few drops of rosemary oil.

Shake the bottle for a few seconds and apply to hair from root to tip. Leave on for about 20 min.

Then rinse the hair with lukewarm water and repeat once a week.
