Avocado oil is a great culinary oil for preparing tasty and healthy meals. But have you ever thought about using this wonderful oil to heal and soothe your skin?
It is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents in avocado oil help keep your skin supple, strong and elastic.
It is a carrier oil that is perfect for mixing with essential oils. Avocado oil is mainly suitable for people with dry skin, and less for oily skin.
Application
Avocado oil can be used:
- To kill bacteria and fungi, such as dandruff. Mix a few drops of avocado oil with equal parts of jojoba oil, and add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil. Mix this through the hair and let it soak in. This recipe can also be used to strengthen the skin.
- As culinary oil. Do not add it heated to your salads and other dishes, and enjoy.
- To hydrate dry skin. Rub the face with avocado oil and let it work for 15 minutes. Then cleanse your face with a cleanser such as rose water or orange blossom water for optimal results.
- As anti-aging day cream. Mix 1-4 cups of avocado oil with two teaspoons of coconut oil, two teaspoons of coconut oil, half a teaspoon of vitamin E oil and 1 tablespoon of shea butter in a glass jar. Carefully bring this glass jar to a boil in a pan of water. Once melted, let the cream harden gently in a jar and store in a cool place. You are now officially a real superhero in making day creams yourself. Way to go!
