Oregano essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the Origanum Compactum plant, which comes from Morocco. Both the oregano herb and the essential oil have been used since Roman antiquity for all kinds of medical and cosmetic applications.
Carvacrol and Thymol are the two natural chemical compounds that make oregano such a strong antibacterial oil. Diluted with a carrier oil such as jojoba or argan oil, it may reduce coughs and flu symptoms, and may reduce hair and skin inflammation and itchiness when added to your moisturizer or shampoo.

Application
Oregano essential oil can be used:
- Against infections and inflammations: mix 1 or 2 drops of oregano oil with 100 drops of carrier oil, and apply to the skin.
- In your (foot) bath: Add a few drops to your bath or foot bath.
- In your diffuser / evaporator
