Cedarwood oil is an essential oil obtained from steam distillation of the wood of the Cedrus Deodara tree. This tree grows in colder climates such as the Himalayas, where this oil comes from.

Cedarwood oil is known for its positive effect on the hair and scalp. The oil is therefore often used to combat scalp eczema and to stimulate blood circulation on the scalp.
