Why African Black Soap?
African Black Soap is a fantastic skin and hair cleanser. Thanks to the vitamins A and E it contains, the soap deeply cleanses your skin and guarantees an intensive regeneration of the skin cells.
How is it made?
African black soap is made with the ashes of West African plants and barks such as plantain, palm, shea and other plants. These are dried and roasted, after which water and fats/oils (Shea, palm and coconut oil) are added and stirred by hand for at least a day. After this the soap floats to the top and is scooped out and then left to dry for 2 weeks.
The palm oil does not come from the very harmful monoculture as it is applied in e.g. Sumatra, but comes from small communities in Ghana and the surrounding area.
Application
For your body and face:Wet your hands and crumble a small bar of soap. Rub well between your hands until foam is formed.
Apply to your face and/or body and let it soak in for a while
Rinse well until all the foam is gone
If this is your first time using African black soap, we recommend that you use it no more than once a week and build up gradually
For your HairRub a bar of soap into your hands until it lathers well, then use as a regular shampoo. Optionally, you can mix a few drops of argan oil with it for extra hydration of the hair roots and scalp.
It is best to store the soap in a dry place
After cleaning with the African black soap you can use Shea Butter or argan oil to moisturize your skin well
