Cocoa butter is made from the cocoa bean and is rich in essential fatty acids. The fatty acids in form a protective layer for the skin to better retain moisture.

Cocoa butter is also rich in antioxidants and natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These substances improve blood flow to the skin and can therefore slow down skin aging by protecting against the sun's harmful UV rays.

Application

You can use cocoa butter:

In the bath or shower to hydrate the skin. Add cocoa butter to your bath or shower and let it melt gently in the warm water. It will rehydrate and soften your skin.
As a moisturizing cream. Mix it with argan, jojoba or castor oil and apply directly to dry, cleansed skin.
In your DIY lip balm for moisturizing and repairing dry lips and blisters.

Perfect tijdens het douchen voor de gevoelige huid

Heb een hele gevoelige huid die ook meteen droog is als ik douche. Met deze boter geen last van een trekkerig gevoel na het douchen, schilvers en/of rode vlekken. Eerst wassen en vervolgens deze heerlijke boter over je lijf bij de laatste waterstralen. Het warme water is wel nodig om de boter te laten smelten, de boter is van zich zelf hard. Na het douchen en afdrogen merk ik op dat mijn huid heel zacht en kalm is! Ik ben heel tevreden :)
