Our Shea Nilotica butter, sourced from East Africa, boasts a texture that is significantly softer and creamier than its West African counterpart.

Shea Nilotica is notably rich in vitamins A and E, making it an excellent choice for a moisturizing face cream or body butter.

Applications

Shea Nilotica can be utilized as follows:

Moisturizer: Apply it directly to your skin as the butter effortlessly melts at body temperature.
Anti-aging Body Butter: Melt a cup of shea butter in a pan and then cool it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Whip it with a hand mixer until it reaches a body butter consistency. If desired, add 10 drops each of lavender and frankincense oil.
Hair Conditioner: In a double boiler, melt 2 tablespoons of coconut oil with 1 tablespoon of shea butter. Allow the mixture to cool, then add 1 teaspoon of argan oil. Whip the mixture with a hand mixer until it becomes creamy. Apply this cream to your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes, then wash your hair with a natural shampoo.
Eczema Soother: Melt half a cup of shea butter with two tablespoons of coconut oil in a double boiler. Let it cool in the fridge for 20 minutes. Add three teaspoons of rose water and 10 drops of lavender oil to the mixture, then whip until it forms a cream. Store the mixture in a jar in a cool place. Apply to sensitive areas of the skin once or twice a day to alleviate eczema.

Na een tip van een vriendin shea butter en serum besteld. Allebei de producten sluiten precies aan bij wat we nodig hadden; goede verzorging van de huid.

Shea nelotica

Ik gebruik deze creme als dag- en nachtcreme en vind deze de beste van alle cremes die ik tot nu toe heb gebruikt. Een echte aanrader!

Mooi product goede service

Dit is mijn tweede bestelling. Een grote pot shea nilotica. De eerste pot was perfectie. Superzachte textuur. Smeerde perfect uit. Milde geur. De tweede pot zag er in eerste instantie korrelig uit en had verkleuringen onderin de pot. Ik zocht contact via whatsapp en kreeg heel snel antwoord op een prettige manier. Wat een geweldige persoonlijke service. Chapeau, You Madu! Ik kreeg de tip om de pot in een pan water te laten smelten, te roeren en opnieuw te laten stollen. En voila: een prachtige pot heerlijke, romige shea. Daar kom ik de winter wel mee door!

Een Verademing voor de wat drogere huid

Heerlijk product!

Ik gebruikte al een tijdje de 'normale' shea butter voor droge voeten en droge huid op armen en benen (via andere webshop). Deze veel zachtere shea nilotica gebruik ik nu op mijn gezicht en voor mijn dochter van 3. Wat een fantastische zalf! Goed smeerbaar, geen sterke geur en maakt onze huid heerlijk zacht. Ik vind het de duurdere aankoopprijs zeker waard!

Het was mijn eerste bestelling bij You Madu. Waar ik wel van opkeek was de hoeveelheid plastic/piepschuim (?) Om de doos mee op te vullen. Wat mij betreft zit hier nog verbeter potentieel, bijvoorbeeld door kleinere verzenddozen te gebruiken.

Het 'piepschuim' is gemaakt van zetmeel en daardoor 100% biologische afbreekbaar. Het kan daarom bij je composteerbaar afval (en ook als je het onder de kraan houdt lost het op). We proberen zo goed als mogelijk de juiste maat doos te gebruiken, maar het is vaak een afweging omdat de glazen potten snel stuk gaan en er dus genoeg opvulmateriaal tussen de potten moet zitten. Als je een foto kan sturen kan ik wel even doorgeven aan onze verzendpartner of het niet in een kleinere doos kon.
